Our well-equipped Pattern and Tool shop operates out of 12000 sq. ft. and offers full CAD / CAM solutions from data origination in the CAD department to full machining on one of Seven machining Centre’s.
We also offer traditional manufacture of Patterns and Models with a highly skilled and motivated workforce operating from a fully equipped facility. Datum can produce equipment in Wood, Metal, Resin and polystyrene, ranging from very small to very large.
Pattern equipment can be supplied to suit any of our customer’s needs, whether you require loose equipment, Boxless Moulding, Shell or Disamatic, Datum is equipped to meet your requirements. Whilst a high proportion of our work is now Cad/Cam we still have the core skills and employee experience to produce traditional conventional Pattern Equipment.
Ranging from Very Small One Off Loose Patterns to Very Large Patterns spun on our Wadkin Pattern Miller up to diameters of 3.5 Metres.
We have considerable experience with Impellers & Pump Casings.
Download Plant ListDatum have invested in the latest CAD / CAM software & CNC Machines (Please see Plant List Download for more details). This includes the ability to read in native customer supplied Cad data into the Three Different Cad systems – Creo/Pro-e, Siemens NX & Autodesk Powershape.
The cad file types we can import include the following: dgk, dmt, iges, dwg, dxf, Catia, Pro E, Unigraphics, Solidworks, Step, stl & vda.
We can produce concept and prototype models either scale or full size.
